MUSEUM IN THE LAVANTHOUSE

Museum of the region Lavanttal

Do you know the treasure and secrets of the Lavanttal region?
Why was Wolfsberg in the possession of the Bishop of Bamberg for 752 years?
What is the largest rock crystal ever found in the Lavant Valley?

The museum in the Lavant House offers its guests the opportunity to find answers and to gain new insights with thematic modules and interactive stations (audio and multimedia experiences). Attentive oberservers will discover shark and bear-dog teeth, Roman arrowheads, film prizes won by Maria and Maximilian Schell or the typewriter of Austrian writer Christine Lavant.

There are special educational offers for children and adolescents. They can explore the museum independently using a quiz, while parents are able to enjoy the museum.
